We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

Our Mission Within at Fairlawn Lutheran Church seeks to connect members with one another and help people grow by serving others.

We will support each other during life’s valleys.

We will rejoice with each other during life’s peaks.

Prayer Ministry

  • A dedicated group of individuals engage in intercessory prayer on a daily basis for the special requests of those in need. This Prayer Group is meant to complement the existing prayer opportunities presented in the Sunday bulletin.
  • “Prayer Warriors”--individuals who meet once a week to pray with families and individuals on specific immediate needs.

Homebound Visitation

  • A dedicated group of individuals who have a desire to visit the homebound members of FLC. This once a month visit will provide companionship and reinforce the person’s connection to the church as a faith community.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

  • A dedicated group of individuals who knit or crochet shawls that are given to those who are experiencing times of extreme stress, grieving or during an illness and recovery.
  • This group offers up prayers for others while knitting—God works in the lives of the knitters as well as the recipients of the shawls.

Bereavement Support

  • In support of our church family and friends this caring ministry hosts a luncheon or dessert reception after a funeral service. Individuals are asked to provide a food dish; help with set-up; or help in clean-up.
  • This ministry will also offer house sitting during calling hours and the church service.

Meals Ministry

  • Compassion, fellowship, and meals are provided to our church families experiencing illness, recovery, bereavement, or a new baby.
